NBA 2K13 News: Mobile & Facebook Versions To Be Released

According to a report by ign.com, NBA 2K13, the lastest installment by developers 2k sports in the basketball franchise, will have a mobile and Facebook edition of the game to be released along with the console and PC versions.

This will make the game available for shoppers on an array of devices and not subject to just gaming devices or the PC.

It was also mentioned that, “NBA 2K13 will launch on iPhone, iPad, iPod Touch and Android featuring intuitive multi-touch controls, improved graphics and a new multiplayer mode via Bluetooth and Game Center, as well as NBA’s Greatest mode.”

In addition to the actual game, 2k Sports also will be launching an app called the MyNBA2K, which is a free companion app available for the iPhone, iPad, iPod touch, Android, and Kindle. The app will be based on mini games and there will also be connectivity with the PC or console game, so as to track their progress on the go.

There will also be a social game launched in October, which is titled NBA 2K: My Life. This social game will be covering the social aspects of the game allowing players to compete in skills competitions with friends, build their home-court environment, and play through experiences of an NBA superstar. Players will have the option to import the avatars that they created on the PC or console version.

NBA 2K13 will launch on Xbox 360, PlayStation 3, PSP, Wii and PC on October 2, 2012 in the United States while an international release is set for October 5, 2012.

NBA 2K13 is available in two editions, the standard and the dynasty edition(only for Xbox0-360 and PS3).
