Fans of “The Real Housewives of Atlanta” were shocked when it was announced that cast member NeNe Leakes would be leaving after seven seasons on the show.
While the news may be hard for fans to take, Leakes feels differently about the situation.
In a statement to People magazine, Leakes said that it was a hard decision for her and her husband, Greg Leakes, to make. She said “this is my opportunity to spread my wings and do different things.”
She also took to Facebook to write a post to her fans. In the post she confirms that she will not be returning for the next season of the show, but goes on to give thanks to her many supporters and Bravo.
Although the star will be leaving the housewives she assures fans that this won’t be the last we see of her by saying “I am excited for new beginnings that I will share with you soon.”
