The Hunger Games: Catching Fire is almost here!
The highly anticipated sequel to The Hunger Games arrives in theaters Friday, November 22, 2013.
In preparation for the film’s release, a new video clip was featured during Liam Hemsworth’s recent appearance on The Tonight Show with Jay Leno.
The clip shows an exchange between Katniss Everdeen, winner of the 74th Annual Hunger Games, and Gale Hawthorne, her best friend.
Based on the conversation the two have, it appears as if Katniss has yet to accept her responsibility as the emblematic leader of the up-and-coming rebellion against President Snow’s regime.
The clip gives viewers a chance to see the budding relationship between Gale and Katniss, a storyline the first movie touched on, but never fully developed.
It also provides a quick glimpse at the approach director Francis Lawrence took with the dramatic parts of the film.
The Hunger Games: Catching Fire stars Jennifer Lawrence, Liam Hemsworth, Josh Hutcherson, Lenny Kravitz, Elizabeth Banks, Stanley Tucci, Donald Sutherland, Toby Jones, Woody Harrelson and Philip Seymour Hoffman.
