A universal dock for the Samsung Galaxy smartphone is available through Samsung’s official website for $49.99.
But shoppers now have a lower cost alternative.
As of last week, a third party seller on Amazon has listed the Samsung Galaxy Multimedia Desktop Charging Dock for $19.99.
The dock that’s available through Samsung’s website is compatible with a range of devices such as Galaxy S3, S4, Note and Note 2.
The dock from Amazon is described as working for a similar range, and one shopper left a review saying it works ‘amazingly’ with Galaxy S3 and Galaxy S4. However…. the two other reviews on this item are less enthusiastic.
There are no USB or HDMI ports on the dock, all the buyer will get is a 3.5mm jack for audio output. There’s no microUSB cord either.
However, there’s free shipping, and the price is attractive.
