New Moto E Android Smartphone Priced at $129 With No Contract

Motorola announced the launch of the Moto E smartphone will be priced $129 with no contract required, $50 cheaper than the extremely popular Moto G.

The Moto E is powered by the Android 4.4 Kitkat platform. It comes with a 5 megapixel camera, 4.3 inch, 960 x 540 display (with anti-smudge coating), FM radio, 1.2GHz dual-core Snapdragon 200 processor, 1GB of RAM, 4GB of internal storage (with a micro SD slot for more).

The Moto G is already one of the top selling phones in the world, especially in Brazil and Mexico. With the Moto E priced even cheaper, Motorola looks to tap into the more economically challenging markets such as India and China.

Multiple reviewers have praised the fact that the Moto E doesn’t look like a lower grade smartphone, that it has nice rounded edges and a trim design.

The Moto E is already available in the US and will go on sale in the UK on May 19th.
