NFL: Steelers Vs. Ravens 9/11 2011 | Final Score & Game Highlights [Video]

Today, the Pittsburgh Steelers played against the Baltimore Ravens in a game of good old fashioned, American football!

In honor of today being the 10th anniversary of the September 11th attacks on the World Trade Center, the NFL prepared a special tribute, asking fans to pay tribute to those who died and their family and friends, as well as those involved in rescue efforts.

With a kick from Pittsburgh’s Shaun Suisham at the 35-yard line shortly after 1:00 p.m. EDT, the game began.

With 13:35 on the clock in the first quarter, Ray Rice of the Ravens made a touchdown (Steelers 0-7 Ravens), thanks to a perfect pass from teammate Anquan Boldin. The Ravens made another touchdown with 1:49 in the first quarter before the second began (Steelers 0-14 Ravens).

In the second quarter, the Steelers came back into the game with a touchdown (Steelers 7-14 Ravens), which was shortly followed by another touchdown by the Ravens (Steelers 7-21 Ravens).

During half-time, the CBS commentator stated: “That wasn’t a good first half for the Ravens … it was a great one!”

In the third quarter at 14:39, the Ravens scored again with a two-point conversion, raising the score to 29-7. The Ravens also scored a field goal at 2:59 of the 3rd quarter (Steelers 7-32 Ravens).

A fight took place at around 0:44 of the 3rd quarter, when the players lost their cool. Taylor Price ended up slapping someone, which resulted in a 15-yard penalty against Taylor, and a referee ending up getting knocked out. A recording of the entertaining tussle can be seen in the player below.

During the fourth quarter of the game, there were fumbles, punts, injuries, and more. By 4:01 of the 4th quarter, the Ravens’ reached seven turnovers alone this game. Yikes!

With the final two minutes let in the game, the players from both teams began to get quite excited… Especially the Ravens, who were still leading 32-7.

Seconds later, the Ravens scored a field goal at 1:56, raising their score to an even more victory promising 35-7.

The game ended with a 35-7 win for the Baltimore Ravens!

On September 18th, the Baltimore Ravens will play against the Tennessee Titans. It will most likely be another great game to watch!
