Early Thursday morning, 18-year-old Miranda Cosgrove was on her tour bus traveling between tour dates in Ohio and Kansas when her bus crashed into an overturned tractor-trailer in Illinois on I-70.
According to reports, Cosgrove’s tour bus hit the tractor-trailer and injured two bystanders who were helping the driver of the overturned vehicle. Both drivers were flown to a hospital, while the injured bystanders were driven to another. Police report that of the five bus passengers, only Miranda and her mother were injured.
The iCarly star and singer sustained a broken ankle from the crash. Luckily none of the seven people involved in the accident were seriously injured.
“At this time, we are told everyone will be fine,” Cosgrove’s representative told E! News, Confirming that Miranda Cosgrove had broken her ankle. “Because of this, her tour is postponed until further notice. Miranda thanks everyone for their understanding and support.”
UPDATE: Reports now suggest that Miranda Cosgrove’s bus driver is currently in critical condition.
A reliable source close to the star has stated: “A piece from the tractor-trailer went straight through the windshield and the driver’s arm was sliced all the way through.”
