Nike+ FuelBand Now Works With Android Devices

At long last the popular sports branded fitness tracker Nike+ FuelBand is available to Android users.

For the last 2 years, Nike’s flagship fitness band has only been compatible with newer iOS devices.

The app will now be available for Android 4.3 Jelly Bean devices.

If you are unfamiliar with the FuelBand system, it’s a simplistic daily fitness tracker.

The hardware is a band, much like a Live Strong bracelet, and is worn around the wrist.

The band connects to smartphones wirelessly via bluetooth 4.0.

Data is collected on the app in the form of Fuel, a point system to measure fitness activity. Users can set daily point goals to keep motivated. The app features several social features including a leaderboard among your FuelBand using friends.

The price of the Nike+ FuelBand is $149.99 USD. It comes in a variety of colors and sizes and is available to buy from the official site here and at other major retailers.

The app download link for iOS is found here, and for Android, here.
