Nintendo announced today that Miiverse is coming to PC and smartphones this May.
Currently exclusive to Wii U, Miiverse is Nintendo’s social network forum for users to discuss games, share thoughts, swap notes and post doodles.
There’s also talk about releasing Miiverse for the 3DS, but the specific date is still unknown at this point. It is stated that certain existing 3DS titles will not immediately have Miiverse functionality.
It’s also revealed that Miiverse will get a few updates as well.
Players can now subscribe to each other, and see what they’re doing in-games. There’s also a function to link out specific parts of a game in a post, so that your followers can easily access the parts of the game you’re talking about.
Players will also be able to post on Miiverse in-game, so there’s no need to open a whole separate app.
Will you be using Miiverse more after the updates?
