NL Mets-Giants Wild Card Game: Time, Channel, Live Stream, Radio & Predictions

It’s do or die time tonight (Wednesday, October 5) as the San Francisco Giants take on the New York Mets in the National League wild card game.

The Giants fought off the St. Louis Cardinals to get here, while the Mets beat the Phillies to get in and continue what has been an injury-riddled, yet miraculous, season.

Game Stats: This game is shaping up to be a pitcher’s duel, as the Mets Noah Syndergaard and the Giants Madison Bumgarner are 2 of the leagues best.

Bumgarner has 7-3, 2.14 ERA career playoff record, while Syndergaard is the Met’s ace who just pitched 8 shut out innings against the Giants on September 19.

And while Bumgarner may give the Giants a slight edge, the Mets have the better bullpen, evening the playing field.

However, despite their overcome-all-odds season, the fact remains that the Mets have a lot of key players missing, while the Giants, with the exception of Eduardo Nunez (hamstring), are whole.

Nunez is a question mark, which could be a problem as he is the Giants best base stealer; in a close game having him could be a big advantage.

Predictions: Most experts are picking the Giants to win, but I’m going against the grain and picking the Mets to win, 2-1.
