Nokia Windows 8 Phones To Receive ‘Play To’ App Soon

Nokia stated they would be releasing the ‘Play To’ app for Nokia Lumia Windows 8 phone very soon.

According to a support forum, the app will be available for download in the next few weeks.

A user left a query on the forum asking when the app would be available for download. The query was answered by a representative of Nokia, who stated it should be here in the next couple of weeks.

The app will allow the device to stream media to any devices that are DLNA enabled and connected to the local network.

In other words, users would be able to stream videos, photos and other media to TVs and other devices that are compatible.

WPoweruser reports that the app is already available for those who own a Windows 7 phone, but it hasn’t made way on the Windows Phone Store for Windows 8 variants, but that’s expected to change in the next couple of weeks.
