The 2015 NY Botanical Garden Holiday Train Show kicks off this Saturday, November 21 in the Bronx and it’s an exhibit both kids and adults can enjoy.
Featuring over a half-mile of track, model train cars ride through over 150 NY landmarks, including the Statue of Liberty, Rockefeller Center and the Brooklyn Bridge.
This year’s exhibit is even more impressive, because they’ve added over 3,000 square feet of additional space to add tracks, showcase new trains and add more landmark buildings.
You can see pictures below.
Plus, there is also Bar Car Nights on the weekends, where adults can have drinks, listen to live music, view the exhibit, see ice sculpture carving exhibits, and even dine outdoors.
For those interested, below is everything you need to know, including dates, times and ticket prices.
Dates: the exhibit runs from Saturday, the 21 until January 19 and takes place in the heated Enid A. Haupt Conservatory at the Botanical Gardens, so it’s warm and toasty no matter what the weather.
Tickets: tickets are required and are priced according to when you visit; you can see ticket prices below or go here to order.
There are group and school packages available as well.
NYBG strongly recommends buying tickets in advance and not at the door, as there is high demand for the show.
Those who already have a NY Botanical Garden’s membership can see the exhibit for free.
