NYC Deals

While helping my family plan our next trip to New York City, we’re focusing on a lot of fun on a budget.

My personal favorite for any trip is to just explore. Walk around the city without a real goal; it’s free and you never know what wonderful sights you might see. A map, however, is highly recommended.

Central Park is somewhere I did not go the last time I was in NYC. I think just a walk through the park, sitting on the lawn is relaxing and is great if you’ve had a long day of tourist style events.

The New York Public Library, where I could spend a lifetime, may not be the ideal place for everyone, but is a great place to see when visiting the city.

When searching for a natural side to the city, I found the New York Botanical Garden has a deal on Wednesdays when admission is free all day! And don’t fear if you can’t make it on Wednesday, on Saturdays from 10 A.M. to 12 P.M. they also offer free admission.

If you’re looking for cheap tickets to a Yankees game, I found seatgeek.com which has tickets for a general game ranging from $12 to $20. Last time I went to a Yankees game, however, we bought our tickets on game day from a shop in the city and only paid around $35.
