Olive Garden Adding Breadstick Sandwiches To Their Menu

Olive Garden is hoping to entice new patrons and win back some of their old customers by adding breadstick sandwiches to their menu.

The restaurant chain, which is owned bt Darden Restaurants Inc.,  announced today it plans to use its breadsticks for chicken parmigiana and meatball sandwiches starting June 1st.

The sandwiches will be available at all Olive Garden locations, but only on the lunch menu, with the meatball sandwich selling for $6.99 and the chicken parmigiana selling for $7.99.

The breadsticks used for the sandwiches will be shorter and wider, but will otherwise remain the same in terms of flavor and how they are made.

As with all the restaurant chains other meals, these sandwiches will also come with unlimited breadsticks.

Olive Garden’s breadsticks have always been a popular item, so the company believes this move will help boost sales and freshen its reputation after lackluster and declining sale over the last fiscal year according to several news outlets.

No word yet if there are any plans to add more sandwiches or offer them during dinner.
