Olympic Games Edition Iconia Tab A510 Revealed

Today Acer revealed their first quad-core Iconia Tab tablet for the US, the Acer Iconia Tab A510.

This new tablet from Acer will feature a 10.1 inch touchscreen and is designed for mobile game-playing and entertainment, according to an announcement from the company.

The tablet also comes with Acer Print, a program designed for printing straight from the tablet wirelessly, and Polaris Office 3.5, which is compatible with Microsoft office.

Acer-Iconia-Tab-A510The new tablet runs Android 4.0 (Ice Cream Sandwich) and is powered by a NVIDIA Tegra 3 Mobile Processor, a high-performance 12-Core GeForce NVIDIA GPU, and 1 GB of RAM. According to Acer, the four core processor more than doubles the tablet’s performance and triples the graphic’s performance compared to processors from the previous generation. Space wise, there’s 32 GB of onboard storage, plus support for another 32 GB through a micro-SD card.

The tablet has two cameras, a one megapixel front facing and a five megapixel rear facing camera with autofocus. It can take pictures while recording video.

Acer is a sponsor of the 2012 Olympic Games and this tablet is a special Olympic Games Edition of the Iconia Tab series. The Olympic logo will be included on the tablet.
