Paris Fashion Week 2011: Kayne West Collection To Debut

Come Tuesday, the fashion crowd in and around Paris will be treated to a show of their lifetime as the City of Love hosts one of the grandest fashion events, the Paris Fashion Week. This time round, the show brings to town a horde of debuting young talented designers. And bringing the fresh talent to the table will be fashion houses Issey Miyake, Kenzo, Paco Rabanne, Cacharel and Balmain.

Hundreds of fashion models, buyers and fashion critics are en route to Paris from Milan, where despite the economic crisis, the show will go on. An of course, you can expect lots of glamour and grandeur in Paris.

Expected to make his pret-a-porter debut is one Kanye West of the “Watch The Throne” craze. News have it that Kanye recruited fashion students from London to help him put his collection together.

In related news, fashion conscious persons all over the globe wait with baited breath for the probable naming of John Galliano’s successor at Christian Dior. John, who previously held the reins at the French couture house, found himself in the cold after a nasty incident where one-sided hurling of anti-Semitic insults was involved. The same outburst is said to have earned him an appointment with the court man. Marc Jacobs of Louis Vuitton was the most likely candidate for the position, until talks with Dior hit a snag. You can only hope that the naming will go down at Paris Fashion Week.
