Pedophile Book Author Arrested

The man who wrote and sold a controversial book for pedophiles was arrested according to Florida officials.

Phillip Greaves was arrested in Pueblo, Colorado on a felony warrant issued in Florida based on the content of his book. He faces extradition to Florida on the charges.

The book, “The Pedophile’s Guide to Love and Pleasure: A Child-Lover’s Code of Conduct” became the subject of national attention earlier in the year when it was listed for sale on by the author. The online retailer initially defended its position of allowing the book to be sold against the thousands of users who threatened to boycott the site over the issue.

In early November Amazon removed the book from its listings.

Polk County, Florida Sheriff Grady Judd described the book as a how-to guide for committing sexual battery against children. He described his shock at the specific examples and illustrations included in the book.

Judd stated clearly that he was frustrated that the book would be protected under freedom of speech. However, he did state that regardless of what anyone else could do the state of Florida could prosecute Greaves for violating the laws and endangering children.
