Knowing it’s not uncommon for Fluffy or Fido to have their own Christmas stocking too, PetSmart has released its Black Friday ad.
The company polled pet parents and found 25 percent plan to shop for their pets on Black Friday.
According to a prepared statement from PetSmart CEO David Lenhardt, more households than not will be lavishing their pet with a gift for the holidays.
Lenhardt said, “Overall, we know that about 76 percent of pet parents plan to give their pet a special treat or present for the holidays, and more than half plan to get their pet a holiday stocking.”
On that note, PetSmart will be offering over 3,200 items for at least 50 percent off during its Black Friday sale.
A Black Friday pre-sale will begin Monday, November 25 featuring deals both in-store and online for three days.
PetSmart.com will begin its Black Friday deals, including free shipping with no minimum purchase required, on Thanksgiving Day at 6 a.m. EST.
For PetSmart stores, the sale begins when most locations open doors at 7 a.m. on Black Friday.
A free stocking filled with in-store coupons and pet treats will be given out to the first 100 customers in every store.
Dogs will be able to get pampered with the store’s Holiday Top Dog grooming package, starting at $18, which will treat them to a sugar-cookie cologne spritz, holiday bandana, and festive collar charm.
Nail trims and all Pawdicure services will also be 50 percent off during Black Friday weekend.
Even Guinea pigs and fish aren’t left out of the holiday spirit— Santa and elf costumes for Guinea pigs and Top Fin Aquarium ornaments are part of the sale.
Products featured at 40 percent off include the Motorola Scout 500-2 video pet monitor for $119.99 and the Bissell SpotClean Pet Plus cleaning machine for $79.99.
Limited quantities of the Sunbeam Gourmet Treat Maker will only be available in stores for $19.99.

Beginning December 2, PetSmart.com will be holding a Cyber Week sale featuring up to 60 percent off web-exclusive items.
PetSmart and PetSmart.com also offer holiday gift cards in any denomination. The purchase of a gift card includes a coupon book with “more than $100 in offers for merchandise, treats and pet grooming, training and boarding services.”
