5 years have passed and “A” has been revealed, but it will be far from smooth sailing when Pretty Little Liars returns tonight for their season 6 winter premiere.
Airing tonight at 8 P.M. EST on Freeform (formerly known as ABC Family), episode 11 is titled “Of Late I Think of Rosewood” and although lots has changed, the danger and secrets remain the same.
For those who can’t watch from their TV’s, you can watch free live streaming of the episode on your PC, tablet or smartphone via the Freeform website using a participating cable provider.
And for those who can’t wait to see what will happen or need to catch up, here’s a recap and preview of the upcoming season; You can also see the winter premiere trailer below.
When we last saw the liars we found out “A” was Charles/CeCe Dilaurentis and watched Emily, Hannah, Aria and Spencer leave Rosewood, while Alison staying behind.
Now 5 years later, Alison is a teacher and the girls have all settled into new lives, but that’s about to change when they are forced to return back home.
According to show creator Marlene King the girls will face a new threat, one that poses a much bigger danger to them than “A”, but for a much shorter amount of time, as this story line will play out over the next season and a half.
So what can you expect this season? Here’s a preview:
•Alison (Sasha Pieterse) is a teacher and married to Dr. Elliot Rollins- the same doc who is treating CeCe in a psychiatric facility.
•Aria (Lucy Hale) is working in a publishing firm with new love interest Liam- who by all appearances is a really nice guy. Liam also works with Aria’s ex, Ezra, who has become an alcoholic since we last saw him.
•Hannah (Ashley Benson) and Caleb broke up when she couldn’t find the time for him while working on her fashion career. She is engaged now to new guy Jordan while Caleb has become a risk analyst.
•Spencer (Troian Bellissario) is now a big shot on Capitol Hill and no longer with Toby, who became rich as a result of the explosion 5 years ago. Spencer has no time for love- at least not now.
•Emily (Shay Mitchell) will also be thinking of things other than love when we see her again. She will be coping with her dad’s death and have lots of secrets to hide in episode 11.
