In NY, station 107.5, WBLS is playing a non-stop loop of Prince music now into tomorrow.
In Minnesota, Prince’s home state, 89.3, The Current, is playing Prince music in tribute all day.
In Austin, Texas, fans of Prince can tune into 96.3 FM, where all regularly scheduled programming has been cancelled to play Prince music.
iTunes has seen sales soar for Prince music: “The Very Best of Prince,” his2001 greatest hits compilation, is at the top of the iTunes albums list, with the soundtrack for “Purple Rain” right behind it.
TV
MTV has cancelled all programming and will be airing Prince videos the rest of the day.
VH! has cancelled all shows to air a tribute to Prince, featuring the movie “Purple Rain,” as well as his videos.
BET is also airing a full day of Prince videos for fans to watch.
