PS4 Price Will Attract Gamers ‘In The Broadest Sense’

Looks like Sony has learned from the mistakes made with PS3’s price, saying the price of PS4 is going to appeal ‘in the broadest sense’ to gamers.

Worldwide Studios VP Michael Denny, in a comment made to Edge, said the details on pricing will be announced officially later.

He said ‘I guess the first thing to say is that we listen and learn and take the judgement from every console launch we ever have and we have to be informed by what the strength of our PlayStation 3 system have been, but also the challenges of that’.

His words also revealed there’s still plenty of time left and plenty to reveal about the console.

PlayStation 3 was introduced by Sony back in 2006. The 20 GB version was priced at $499, while the 60 GB model was introduced for $599.

Michael Patcher thinks Sony and Xbox may offer PS4 and Xbox 720 with subsidized contracts.

Currently, Xbox 360 is being sold by Microsoft for $99 – if consumers sign up to a two-year subscription to Xbox Live Gold ($15 per month).
