Sony has announced that the PS4 will be released in the US on November 15th, 2013.
Sony made the announcement at Gamescom 2013 in Cologne, Germany, yesterday.
PS4 will be released in the UK on November 29th.
According to Sony, the new gaming console will be priced at $399 in the US. The price includes the new Dual Shock 4 controller. The price of the PS3 will drop to $199 when the PS4 is released.
33 PS4 games will be available for the console when it launches. Sony said some of the games, including the popular Assassin’s Creed IV and Call of Duty: Ghosts, will be offered at a discount for those of us that already own the PS3 version of the games.
Best Buy and GameStop are already taking pre-orders for the PS4.
Neither Sony’s own Sony Store nor Amazon are taking pre-orders at this time, but both have sign-up forms for e-mail alerts to notify shoppers when their pre-orders open.
All four retailers have the price listed at $399. No pre-order bonuses have been announced.
