Sal Alosi, Jets Coach, Trips Player Mid-Game

Players, coaches and fans expressed outrage as word spread that an assistant Jets coach trips a player during a game on Sunday.

Sal Alosi has admitted that he did trip Miami Dolphins player Nolan Carroll during Sunday’s game and did so intentionally.

Alosi has since issued both public and private apologies to the individuals and the public. He stated that his actions were inexcusable and did not reflect the organization at all.

That may not be enough for the team or the NFL. Both are looking into the incident to determine which step should be taken next.

It definitely is not enough for those who were shocked by the action. Many have been calling for the firing of the coach over this incident.

Carroll was running along the sideline during a punt. Alosi leaned in and used his knee to trip the player. Fortunately, no one was injured.

The Jets ended up losing the game 10 to 6.
