Samsung is planning to release the Samsung Gear 2 and Gear fit in the near future and consumers can get a look at both with their new hands-on video.
The Gear 2 is the follow-up to the Gear, Samsung’s first wearable technology. However, unlike the original, the Gear 2 will not operate on the android system.
Instead,the Gear 2 will operate on Tizen, which is new software developed by Samsung.
The Gear 2 has 2 key features: a dual-core 1GHz processor, to greatly improve performance and a battery life 3 times longer than its predecessor.
Samsung has also added a home button to make navigation easier and now has interchangeable bands for style.
The Gear Fit is a fitness band and showcases a sportier, sleeker design.
Fitness buffs will like the built in heart monitor and custom tips for you while you work out. It also shows you your statistics and gives recommendations .
When connected to a Samsung device through Bluetooth you can answer calls and view text messages.
Samsung has not set a release date yet, but both are expected to be out sometime this spring. We will let you know when they are available.
