SantaCon 2015 NYC This Saturday: Times, Events, Map, Alcohol Restrictions & More

NYC’s now infamous SantaCon festival kicks off this Saturday morning, December 12th, and if you are planning to attend then read on because we have everything you need to know.

For those who don’t know, SantaCon is a booze-filled Santa Claus festival where revelers dress up in various Christmas themed costumes and bar crawl through Manhattan.

While it is meant to be harmless fun, there have been a few incidents due to all the intoxicated people, which is why organizers and city officials collaborated to make it a bit safer this year.

That means a beefed up police presence and the banning of alcohol by the MTA on the LIRR and Metro-North (view details below).

Here is a rundown of the day’s events, with times, entertainment info and more to make sure you get the most out of your experience.

Alcohol Restrictions: The MTA has imposed the following restrictions: no alcohol on the LIRR from 11 P.M. EST Friday until noon on Sunday and none on Metro North from 5 A.M. EST Saturday until noon on Sunday.

Donations: Unlike last year where event organizers collected food for those in need, this year they are encouraging revelers to donate to charity.

Times & Events: SantaCon runs from 10 A.M-7 P.M. EST on Saturday; Here is a breakdown of the event schedule for Saturday:

Start Time- McCarren Park (Bedford and North 12th Street)- 10 A.M. EST

• 10 -11 A.M. EST: Music, games and group photo, along with gifts for every Santa at the start point

The Hall (470 Driggs Avenue)

•11 A.M.-3 P.M. EST: Live Santa bands and DJs

Verboten (54 North 11th Street)

• 11 A.M.-4 P.M. EST: Headliner’s are Santa DJs

Villain (50 North 3rd Street)

• 11 A.M.-4 P.M. EST: Rudolph’s red rager

Viva Toro( 188 Berry Street)

• 11 A.M.-4 P.M. EST: Featuring bull riding and DJ’s

LOWER EAST SIDE- 1-7 P.M. EST
