Season Premiere Dates Announced: The Voice, Revolution, Grimm & More…

NBC just announced premiere dates for their Fall lineup.

The Voice will be back for it’s 5th season on September 23 at 8pm.

Shakira and Usher are out for season 5, but Christina Aguilera will return to the show, and Cee Lo Green is expected back as well.

Revolution will be back for it’s second season starting September 25. The post-worldwide-blackout show is moving from its Monday, 10pm time slot to Wednesdays at 8pm.

The previous 10pm time slot suggested that Revolution would be a lot edgier than its been.  While entertaining, Revolution has been pretty tame. It definitely has not lived up to it’s full potential.

Revolution brought in 11.65 million viewers for its premiere, but was down to about half that by the end of season 1. Perhaps it’s earlier time slot will bring in more family viewers. Or the move could be a nail in it’s coffin (we would have preferred it get better, rather than earlier).

Chicago Fire’s second season will premiere September 24. It’s moving from it’s previous Wednesday 10pm time slot to Tuesday at 10pm.

Law & Order: SVU will premiere for it’s 15th – yes – 15th season on September 25 at 9pm.

Parks and Recreation will be back for it’s 6th season on September 26 at 8pm – anyone still watching?

Grimm will premiere a bit later than the rest, on October 25th, at 9pm.

NBC will also be throwing some new shows at us this Fall:

The Blacklist will premiere on September 23 at 10pm.

The Michael J. Fox Show will premier September 26 at 9pm.

It will be interesting to see how this new show will do. Fox was diagnosed back in 1991 with Parkinson’s disease. He (mostly) retired from acting in 2000.

In this new show, he will play the part of a news anchor who retired five years previously due to his Parkinson’s diagnosis. Now he’s headed back to work, just like Fox. This may just be some ground-breaking TV.

Other new shows will include Ironside (yep, a reboot of the original), premiering on October 2 at 10pm, Welcome to the Family, on October 3 at 8:30pm, Sean Saves the World, on that same date at 9pm,  and Dracula on October 5th at 10pm.

All times ET.
