Amazon Wine will be featuring holiday deals, special limited-edition offerings, and has added delivery to four more states, the company announced today.
Select wineries will be offering mixed packs for a limited time with savings of 20% or more. An assortment of varietals is available with over 100 mixed packs to choose from.
Limited production wines from around the world will be offered for the 2013 holiday season.
From Napa, this includes: HALL Wines’ signature 2010 Kathryn Hall Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon, 2009 Raymond Vineyards’ Generations, and Bell Wine Cellars’ 2009 Clone 6.
And according to Amazon, over 1,000 international wines have been added to the selection with labels from regions such as France, Italy, and Australia.
The latest additions bring the selection of wine sellers to over 700, with more than 5,000 labels to choose from on Amazon Wine.
Newly added states where the delivery of wine can be scheduled are: New York, Michigan, Arizona, and Louisiana.
This is in addition to the following states that already receive Amazon Wine delivery service: California, Colorado, Connecticut, Florida, Idaho, Illinois, Iowa, Maryland, Nebraska, Nevada, North Carolina, Oregon, South Carolina, Texas, Washington, Wyoming, and the District of Columbia.
Launched last year, Amazon Wine provides shipments from wineries directly to consumers.
Prices range from under $15 a bottle to over $100 for premium varieties.
Shipping costs are $9.99 for up to 6 bottles of wine.
Similar to other Amazon products, customers can use a variety of filters and reviews to narrow their selections and modify search criteria.
Amazon also says wine product detail pages now feature an interactive Q&A forum that allows shoppers to ask questions directly to wine sellers.
Peter Faricy, vice president for Amazon Marketplace added, “The holiday season is a busy time, and it’s a huge time saver for millions of customers to have access to thousands of high-quality wines while they’re shopping for that special gift on Amazon. We’re excited for our customers to be able to browse our vast selection of boutique and prestigious labels through the Amazon Wine store.”
