Shakira Releasing Deluxe Version of New Album

In a new collaboration with Target, Grammy-winning artist Shakira announced the release of a deluxe version of her CD, Shakira.

The Colombian singer will give fans three exclusive new songs on the album: “La La La,” “Chasing Shadows” and “That Way.” This album is her tenth studio album, and the basic version is scheduled to release March 21.

The album’s first single, “Can’t Remember to Forget You,” features Shakira’s gal pal Rihanna, reached Billboard Top 100’s #28 spot on it’s debut, and has also reached as high as #15. The two ladies also filmed a hit music video for the song.

In the promotional video for the deluxe edition, the “Hips Don’t Lie” singer explains why she wanted to partner with Target to release the extra music: “I really wanted to offer my fans something new and exclusive product with music that they could obtain and Target was the perfect vehicle and the perfect platform.”

In addition to her 2 Grammys, Shakira’s musical talents have earned her 4 AMA’s, 6 Billboard Music Awards, 5 MTV Video Music Awards, and a whopping 23 Billboard Latin Music Awards (among others). The beauty also coaches on NBC’s hit show, The Voice, which airs Mondays and Tuesdays at 8/7 Central.

The deluxe version of Shakira is available at Target on March 22nd.
