The extremely popular British television series, Sherlock, has released its third series via Netflix. The show revolves around world famous detective Sherlock Holmes (Benedict Cumberbatch), along with his partner John Watson (Martin Freeman) and arch nemesis Jim Moriarty (Andrew Scott), based off Sir Arthur Conan Doyle’s work.
While most television shows have half hour or one hour long episodes, Sherlock‘s episodes are feature film length at approximately 90 minutes long.
The show is well-known for its long hiatuses, sometimes going as long as two years between its three-episode seasons. However, that does not deter the show’s highly enthusiastic fan base.
As well as the three episodes of the third season (The Empty Hearse, The Sign of Three, His Last Vow), which aired in January 2014, Netflix has released three behind the scenes installments titled Sherlock Uncovered.
