The movie industry’s most precious day is almost upon us. As we anxiously await for Oscar Sunday, the 28th annual Independent Spirit Awards gala took place near Santa Monica beach on Saturday, Feb 23.
The award show is known for celebrating independent filmmakers.
Saturday Night Live actor, Andy Sandberg, hosted the event, while Matthew McConaughey, Zoe Saldana, Jeremy Renner (just to name a few) presented.
Silver Linings Playbook took the lead in number of wins. The film won for Best Feature, Best Director, Best Screenplay and Best Female Lead.
