Sojos Joins WellPet Brand Family

Sojos — the Minneapolis-based raw pet food and treat company — has officially been acquired by WellPet — the Massachusetts-based natural nutrition pet food and treat company.

Sojos now joins Eagle Pack, Holistic Select, Old Mother Hubbard, and Wellness in the WellPet family.

Sojos will continue to manufacture its products in its own facilities in Minneapolis.

Sojos’ CEO Ward Johnson announced the merger with the following statement:

“Today, I’m pleased to share that we are joining with WellPet, a family-owned company likes ours, and a partner who shares Sojos’ mission and will provide new resources that will help Sojos continue to grow and serve more pets. Our dream has always been to fundamentally change the way pet parents feed their pets. With WellPet, we believe Sojos is in an even better position to make that dream a reality. We have always admired their organization and brands.”

WellPet’s CEO Tim Callahan had this to say about acquiring Sojos:

“Ward and Maggie Johnson have built one of the most exciting brands in raw nutrition and a first-class team and manufacturing facility. WellPet and Sojos share a mission to transform the lives of pets by providing the very best in natural nutrition, and now our collaboration will enable them to grow and serve more pet families while staying true to the Sojos we know and love.”
