Filming for the highly anticipated final season of ‘Sons of Anarchy’ will begin this Thursday or Friday. The announcement was made by the shows creator and mastermind Kurt Sutter during his last WTF Sutter video blog.
Sutter said everyone would be sitting down for the 1st table reading today, Tuesday May 27. It will be the first time the whole cast is together since the season 6 finale.
It was previously reported that a major new character would be joinng the show. Sutter confirmed that is true, but would not give any further details saying: ” I don’t want to steal publicity thunder, so I will wait until either the network or the actor issues some kind of statement,’
What we do know is that this new character will appear in at least 8 episodes, so he/she will probably have a big impact on story lines. Consumer Press will let you know when that information is revealed.
There has been heavy speculation on how this last season will end, but it is impossible to guess what Sutter has planned but whatever path he carves out for these characters will be compelling TV, as it has been for the 1st 6 seasons.
‘Sons of Anarchy’ is, in my opinion, the best show on TV and much of that success can be attributed to Sutter and his vision.
He has created complicated, riveting characters that have been brought to life by a incredibly talented cast, particularly Charlie Hunnam, whose portrayal of lead character Jax Teller cannot be described in mere words.
The seventh and final season of ‘Sons of Anarchy’ will air this September on FX.
