Episode 3 of ‘Sons of Anarchy’had SAMCRO getting ready for war and a lot of fans pissed off.

A message on Sutterink’s Facebook Page, announcing the death of a beloved character during the episode turned out to be false, sending some fans into an uproar.

While I’m happy none of my fav’s died, I’m annoyed too by that mis-information and surprised as that has never happened before.

There were still a lot of interesting developments despite no one actually dying during episode 3 to talk about, let’s review:

-Things became complicated after the sabotage of the Chinese drug buy and the murder of the 2 junkies last week as both the Chinese and August Marks questioned the clubs involvement.

-Marks “politely” (and stupidly) warned Jax that he is deadlier than Pope and would have no problem killing any of them if the need arises.

Needless to say Jax (Charlie Hunnam) was less than happy with Marks and set in motion a plan to do away with him and the other gangs as well by forming an alliance with the One-Niners.

– In order to secure the Niners allegiance Jax and the club set-up and wiped out a rogue faction of the Niners at the request of their leader, Tyler.

-Jax started to show signs of life, showing concern for Abel and cracking jokes, proving there is hope for him yet.

One of the best lines of the night came when Jax met Sheriff Jarry, who asked if there were any issues with the  Chinese, to which Jax responded: “no, I love Chinese food.”

-Contrary to what some say, I think  his intricate set-up to start a gang war between the Chinese, Mayans and Marks is evidence that he is becoming whole again.

Even though all this violence is something the old Jax would do the fact that he is actually planning and plotting means he is thinking and not just acting and reacting based on emotion.

-In one of the night’s more ironic scenes Unser (Dayton Callie) agreed to help Juice (Theo Rossi) in exchange for info on Tara’s death.

-Juice fed Unser the same story about the Chinese killing Tara and he relayed that information to the new Sheriff, then arranged a meeting between Juice and Chibs (Tommy Flanagan).

-Juice basically begged to be let back into the club and told Chibs he loved him (really?? Cmon Juice wake up!!).  Chibs was unsympathetic and told Juice he should put his gun in his mouth and pull the trigger.

-Unser told Gemma (Katey Sagal) and Wendy (Drea DeMatteo) what happened with Juice and Chibs and they scrambled to  hide him, while Jax had Chibs try to get the new Sheriff off Juice’s and the Chinese’s trail.

-Chibs and Sheriff Jarry met up and flirted while he fed her mis-information and some money.  Surprisingly, she  appeared to be willing to “work” with the club.

-Gemma continued to justify her actions, talking to her birds and Tara, saying everything happened the way it was supposed to.
