Sons of Anarchy Season 7 Spoilers: Venus Returns As Everyone Faces An Uncertain Future [Update]

‘Sons of Anarchy’ fans pay attention to your Twitter feed: show creator Kurt Sutter has been tweeting some need-to-know information recently, the latest being that fan fav Venus Van Dam is back.

Sutter recently tweeted that: ” I am very happy to report that in season 7 of SOA there will be some MUTHER****IN VENUS!!”.

Venus, played by Walton Goggins, is the colorful transvestite everyone loves.  She burst onto the show and dazzled everyone with her humor and electrifying chemistry with Tigs (Kim Coates) last season.

She was also central to an important story arc that brought the issue of child abuse to light when she enlisted SAMCRO to help save her son from her mother, who was an abusive child pornographer.

The character was a breath of fresh air who managed to bring levity to a particularly dark season, so her return ensures there will be at least a few light moments.

Unfortunately, not all of Sutter’s tweets have been good news for fans: in another recent tweet the SOA mastermind hinted that  the 7th and final season is going to be a bloody one – so some of your favorite characters may not make it to the final scene.

Sutter was recently asked by a fan on twitter if there would be any “Red Wedding” type event, to which Sutter replied: “Let’s just say you’ll soon be calling that other episode Bed Wetting”.

“Red Wedding” refers to a gruesome sequence that took place on HBO’s ‘Game of Thrones’ last season where several major characters from that show were killed off at once.

A couple of weeks ago Sutter also spoke about how everything gets darker after episode 4, so it doesn’t sound like there’s going to be a happy ending for a lot of these characters.

This is somewhat of a turn around from the little bits of information he has given in recent weeks about this final season.

In previous interviews he had spoken about being careful about killing off characters: ” like Tigs or Chibbs  because they are so beloved” and that fans would be “satisfied” with the ending.

Of course nothing is every a sure thing with Sutter, who is nothing if not unpredictable.

One thing that is for sure is his ability to produce mesmerizing, unforgettable TV that resonates with the viewers, so whatever happens it is sure to be compelling, must-see television.

‘Sons of Anarchy’s’ seventh and final season is set to air in September on FX.

You can watch the first 5 seasons on Netflix or streaming on Amazon.  Season 1-5 are available on DVD at Amazon, Best Buy and Target.

Season 6 has not been released yet, but will be available as of Tuesday, August 26 from Best Buy & amazon.
