The seventh and the final game of the Stanley Cup finals will be played between the Boston Bruins and Vancouver Canucks at the Rogers Arena on Wednesday night, June 15. The score is tied at three games apiece in the series. The winner of this game wins the NHL championship this season.

This means that in the last ten seasons, this is the sixth occasion on which the NHL final will go down to the game seven.

The Canucks had taken an early 2-0 lead in the series before Boston fought back strongly to make it two games apiece. Interestingly, Canucks’ wins came through one-goal margins while Boston won 8-1 and 4-0 in the third and the fourth game respectively.

This was followed by Canucks taking a 3-2 lead in the series, with another 1-0 win over the opponents before the lead was submerged by a strong Bostons’ comeback in the sixth. The Bruins won 5-2 to force the NHL finals into the seventh game.

The Canucks will be a tad happier because of the seventh game being a home encounter, but the momentum, which is with the Bruins will look to overcome the 39-year long wait for the title.

The NHL Stanley Cup Finals, game seven, will be played at 8.00 pm ET on Wednesday, June 15, on NBC. At the time this is being writing, Bodog has the Canucks favored by 1.5.
