Star Wars Force Friday Is Here! Participating Stores, Coupons, Deals


Force Friday has arrived for Star Wars fans and retailers are offering new The Force Awakens items both in stores and online.

Fans of all ages, including pets, can find toys, clothing, collectibles, jewelry, board games, bikes, and even items for the home such as toasters among the many offerings being provided today.

Stores participating in Star Wars Force Friday and offering new The Force Awakens items include Walmart, Target, Amazon, Kmart, Disney, Toys”R”Us, Jo-Ann, Michael’s, Petco, Hasbro, Kohl’s, Kay Jewelers and NYC Uber.

Target is participating in Force Friday both online and in stores with over 300 new items from The Force Awakens. Through 9/12/15, Star Wars fans can get $10 off a Star Wars purchase of $50 or more or $25 off a Star Wars purchase of $100 or more (not good on clearance items or Lego) in Target stores and online at Target.com. Use promo code FORCE online or text FORCE 10 (for $10 off $50) or FORCE25 (for $25 off $100) to TARGET (827438) to get the coupons on a smartphone.

Walmart and Walmart.com also have the latest Star Wars gear and toys. Deals unique to Walmart include a $10 VUDU credit on the Legendary Jedi Master Yoda that speaks 115 phrases, moves 360 degrees, and demonstrates light saber skills; a Gold Disc giveaway that includes a room makeover, Star Wars toys, and a 14 karat gold Princess Leia disc; and exclusive Star Wars Galaxy Connexions: Topps trading discs that can also be turned into a game.

Kmart’s gear for Force Friday has toys, luggage, clothing, shoes, building sets, home decor, and even automotive items such as Darth Vader seat covers and floor mats for $19.99 and $24.99, respectively. Kmart’s Star Wars items are offered both online and in stores; the site has a search bar to enter zip codes and check local availability.

Disney stores and its website have new Star Wars: The Force Awakens merchandise available that includes t-shirts, hoodies, toys, backpacks, a Battleship game, a Risk game, Infinity packs, figurines, and more. Shipping is free on any order including a Star Wars item with the code FORCE.

Kohl’s is offering 25-40% off Star Wars items for Force Friday both in stores and online. A sampling of items includes toys, apparel, accessories, Darth Vader crayons, a Battleship game, a Huffy The Force Awakens bike for kids, and character masks. Shoppers can also save $10 off $30 using the promo code COOKOUT10. The coupon can also be printed from the website to use in store or saved to a smartphone. Every $50 spent at Kohl’s this weekend also grants $10 in Kohl’s cash for use on a future purchase.

Amazon has a shop set up that’s dedicated to Star Wars for Force Friday. Highlights of the best deals include light sabers that start at $9.99 and a Hot Wheels The Force Awakens car sells for $5.99. Apparel, new toys and games, collectibles, Blu-Ray DVDs, video games, costumes, kitchen and home décor items are also among the vast offerings in Amazon’s Star Wars shop.

Toys”R”Us is featuring all new Star Wars gear for Force Friday including interactive figurines; talking plush Yoda, 2-foot tall Chewbacca, and R2D2; light sabers; Dark Side detectors; Monopoly, Sorry, Risk, Battleship, Guess Who, and Trivia games; plus much more both online and in stores.

Hasbro’s Toy Shop has free shipping on all Star Wars toys and games at hasbro.com.

Kay Jewelers is launching a new Star Wars-themed jewelry collection today, with more items to follow later this year. More details here.

Craft stores including Michael’s and Jo-Ann are also selling the latest Star Wars: The Force Awakens gear. Michael’s has Star Wars items available in stores while Jo-Ann has them available both online and in stores. Shipping is only $1.99 at JoAnn.com with the coupon code LABORDAY15 or free with orders of $60 or more. The site also has a coupon good for 20% off a total purchase, in-stores only, at joann.com/coupon.

Pets can also get new Force Friday gear online at Petco.com. Dozens of Star Wars items and toys are offered for cats and dogs including leashes, collars, tug toys, teaser wands, Princess Leia headbands, and more.

Perhaps the most unique Force Friday offering comes from Hot Wheels in New York City where fans can ride in a Star Wars First Order Stormtrooper Dodge Charger, modeled after the corresponding Hot Wheels car, for free via Uber.

Star Wars: The Force Awakens will open in theaters Friday, December 18.
