Star Wars Rebels Season Finale Date Announced

Star Wars Rebels Season Finale Date Announced

The first season finale of Star Wars Rebels now has an official airing date.

The first part of the finale, “Rebel Resolve”, will air on February 23rd at its usual time of 9/8c on Disney XD. This episode will pick up from the cliffhanger set in “Call To Action”. It will involve the rebels attempting a risky rescue attempt for Kanan, who is currently at the mercy of the Inquisitor and Grand Moff Tarkin. Like all previous episodes, it will be available a week early on February 16th on the WatchDisneyXD website and app, as well as OnDemand.

The second part of the finale, “Fire Across the Galaxy”, will air on March 2nd. It will conclude the first season of the show, with its title being a natural progression of the series premiere, “Spark of Rebellion”. Tracy Cannobbio, Lucasfilm publicist, confirmed on Twitter that the finale will not be available a week early. This would allow viewers to see the finale at the same time and avoid any possible spoilers.

The second season premiere will be shown to fans at Star Wars Celebration 2015 on April at Anaheim, California.  It is unknown when the second season premiere will air on television. According to Freddie Prinze Jr., it is supposed to be twice as long as the first season.
