Star Wars: The Old Republic – Officially Launches In…

December, the month that brings cold weather, snow, and of course Christmas, will also be bringing game fanatics something new and exciting to sink their teeth into… Star Wars: The Old Republic!

The game’s developers, BioWare and LucasArts, announced on Saturday, Sept. 24, at the Eurogamer Expo, that the massively multiplayer online game will launch Dec. 20 in the U.S. and Dec. 22 in Europe.

Star Wars: The Old Republic is currently available for pre-order. As it turns out, pre-orders are limited, and those who pre-order the game will get early access to the game as well. The price range for pre-orders are $60 and up, and come with 30 days of online access.

The game comes in three editions available for pre-order: Collector’s, Digital Deluxe, and Standard. The Digital Deluxe version of The Old Republic comes with five additional inn-game bonus items. While the Collector’s edition of the game comes with seven special in-game items, a Gentle Giant Darth Malgus satue, a printed map, and a few more treats. The Standard edition of the game only comes with the game and the free 30 days of game time. Subscription costs for Star Wars: The Old Republic start at $15 per month.
