Susan Boyle debuted her latest single titled “You Have To Be There,” Wednesday night on the hit TV show “America’s Got Talent.” The new song comes from her upcoming third album “To Watch Over Me,” which will be available in stores Nov. 1.
Boyle’s debut album, “I Dreamed a Dream,” as well as her second album, “The Gift,” topped the charts in over 30 countries. “I Dreamed a Dream” became the biggest selling album in the world for 2009, selling over 9 million copies. Boyle was recognized in September 2010 by Guinness World Records as having had the fastest selling debut album by a female artist in the United Kingdom, the most successful first week of sales of a debut album in the UK, as well as for being the oldest person to reach number one with the debut album in the UK.
“You Have to Be There” is taken from the musical Kristina fran Duvemala, and was written by Benny Andersson and Bjorn Ulvaeus of ABBA fame.
To Watch Over Me is Boyle’s third album. It was produced by Steve Mac and “is composed of songs that will take you on a journey of self discovery,” according to Boyle’s website.
