Teen Beach Movie Available Online Now – 5 Days Before Official Premiere!

Walt Disney’s Teen Beach Movie is now available online – 5 days before the official July 19 premiere on the Disney Channel.

What do you have to do to get a chance to watch the early release?

To start with, you have to be subscribed to a participating cable TV service.

Which cable services are participating? Good question.

So far, AT&T’s U-Verse service is confirmed as a participant. We’ve ask, but have not received word from the others.

The next hoop to jump through is that the movie is only viewable through the WATCH Disney Channel app. The app is available for PC’s and Apple iPads and iPhones.

Yep – no Android love. We double checked the Google Play store. Not there.

The WATCH Disney Channel apps for PC and Apple devices are available at WatchDisneyChannel.com.

When it came to using the PC to access WATCH Disney Channel, we ran in to a few difficulties. It seems that it’s not just a PC that’s required, but a PC with an Internet Explorer browser.

Our attempts to access the program with a Chrome browser was met with frustration. First, we kept getting an error saying the video couldn’t play. Next, we encountered a loop where the system kept asking us who our provider was. Even after selecting the provider and signing in, it kept putting a screen up in front of the page asking us to select our provider… and when we did that… well, around we would go again.

Using MSIE though, we were able to sign in and… along the way, entered a contest for a 5 night cruise on a Disney ship out of Miami. That would be fun! The sweepstakes is prominently displayed along with the sign up for the app (this is promoted as a U-Verse exclusive, we don’t have any info on whether or not other cable services are offering the sweepstakes as well).

Once on WATCH Disney Channel, we found the movie easily enough. Available 5 days early, as promised.
