Teen Holland Reynolds Crawls Across Finish Line Of Race

High School Cross Country runner Holland Reynolds of San Francisco crawled across the finish line in a race on Saturday to help her team win a title for her coach.

Reynolds was aware that she must complete the race in order for her team to win championship title. She wanted to bring the victory for not only her teammates but also for her coach who was recently diagnosed with Lou Gehrig’s disease.

The runner was holding steady in third place with only two yards left to go when her body essentially shut down and she collapsed in the grass. Knowing she must finish to win the championship, the teen proceeded to crawl across the finish line before she passed out.

Reynolds was revived later in an ambulance surrounded by her teammates. They were quick to show her their medals and let her know that her efforts had in fact given the team the title she worked so hard to attain.
