The Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles (TMNT) are back on the big screen this summer, but you can get a look at the movie’s first trailer right here, courtesy of Paramount Pictures.
The Turtles were a cartoon/movie sensation during the 90’s and die-hard fans are ecstatic that they’re coming back to the big screen.
The film is being produced by powerhouse Michael Bay and judging by this first clip promises to be packed with action and humor, much like the original characters.
Not everything is the same though: the Turtles ( Leonardo, Donatello, Raphael and Michaelangelo), appear to be super-sized and a little more mature.
The cast boasts Megan Fox as reporter and Turtle ally April O’Neil, William Fichtner as nemesis Shredder and Danny Woodburn as Splinter, teacher to the Turtles.
TMNT takes place in New York City, which is being run by Shredder and his evil Foot Clan. The Turtles must embrace their destiny in time to save the city.
Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles is set to hit theaters August 8.
