The Popcorn Factory Issues Recall Due To Undeclared Milk In Products: What You Need to Know

The Popcorn Factory of  Lake Forest, Illinois, has issued a recall on 600 of their 4 ounce “Lite Works Dill Pickle Popcorn” due to undeclared milk in the products.

The products were distributed nationwide to Burlington Coat Factory and come in a foil bag; they have a lot code of 15111, with the best by date of SEP 17, 2015.

The error was discovered  after workers realized the wrong product ingredients were in the foil bags; further investigation revealed the error stems from a problem with the company’s production and packaging process.

As of now, no illnesses have been reported. But individuals with milk allergy sensitivities can have serious or life-threatening symptoms if they accidentally ingest the product.

Anyone who purchased the recalled product should throw it out, according to the FDA.
