The Voice Blind Auditions Night 4 Recap: Jeremy Gaynor Woos Coaches

It’s Night 4 of the Blind Auditions on NBC’s Season 8 of The Voice. Coaches Adam Levine, Blake Shelton, Christina Aguilera and Pharrell Williams continue to search for talented artists to fill spots on their teams.

Let’s recap some of the best auditions of the night, including Jeremy Gaynor’s four-chair turn performance.

Ashley Morgan performs “I Wanna Dance With Somebody”
Tonight’s blind auditions started on a high note with Ashley Morgan’s performance of Whitney Houston’s “I Wanna Dance With Somebody.” It’s always a risk to sing a Whitney song, but Ashley proved to have the pipes to cover it. She hit every note to perfection.

Pharrell and Blake turned their chairs at the same time.

Pharrell says, “You can’t buy that kind of training. It just kept getting better. The Voice is all about people like you.”

Blake says, “There’s nobody like you in this competition and now this is your chance to become Ashley the artist in front of millions of people. I have not been this excited for an artist in a long freakin time.”

Koryn Hawthorne performs “My Kind of Love”
Sixteen-year-old Koryn Hathorne epitomized the essence of soul with her performance of “My Kind of Love.” There was so much heart and strength in her delivery. She beautifully showcased her vibrato and massively impressive range.

Both Christina and Pharrell turned their chairs.

Christina says,“You are such a powerhouse. You have such a rare and special quality to your voice. I would love to learn your story because there has to be something behind that voice. I would be honored to be your coach.”

Pharrell says,“You were elevating as the song progressed. That kind of voice is from a stream of conscious. You are standing there with an old soul and you stand there with humility. People will line up to see you for the rest of your life.”

Jeremy Gaynor performs “Superstar”

One of the best auditions of the night definitely has to go to U.S. army soldier and West Point band lead vocalist Jeremy Gaynor. He flawlessly revealed his soulful/R&B tone as he sang with so much power and control. He colored the song effortlessly by juxtaposing between his full and falsetto voice.

Jeremy got a four-chair turn and even got a standing ovation by Christina.

Blake says, “You’re a stud. You’re a great singer. I guarantee I can carry you to the gauntlet of the shows.”

Adam says, “There’s something about the charm of how you perform.”

Christina says, “Your talent is pretty undeniable and it’s the reason why I come back to The Voice. You are one of those potential greats. I want to take you all the way to the end.”

Pharrell says, “Congrats on the four-chair turn. I would love to have you. Your voice is amazing.”
