Tonight on NBC’s Season 6 of The Voice, it’s another round of eliminations.
For the first time on the history of The Voice, three artists will be going home and the bottom four will have one last chance to sing for the instant save of the night.
So, which one of the Top 8 contestants will make it to the semifinals (Top 5)?
Well, let’s get into our live recap of the results show!
After a group performance of “Chainsaw” by Audra, Jake, Kat and Kristen, host Carson Daly reveals the first results of the night. The first artist saved tonight is…Josh Kaufman from Team Usher.
The next contestant America saved is….. Team Shakira’s Kristen Merlin.
After a Mother’s Day tribute, we are back for more results. The next contestant declared safe is…Christina Grimmie from Team Adam!
After a group performance of “Latch” by Christina, Delvin, Sisaundra and Josh, Carson announces the last artist saved by America’s votes is…Jake Worthington from Team Blake
This leaves Sisaundra, Delvin, Kat, and Audra in the Bottom 4. Each of them will perform a save me song in hopes of receiving tonight’s Instant Save.
Sisaundra performs a powerful rendition of “You Make Me Feel Like A Natural Woman.”
Usher says Sisaundra gave an amazing performance.
Shakira says, “I couldn’t help but wonder why I have to see you standing up there. Your voice is so crazy good. You are just so gifted. Your voice is so special.”
Adam says Sisaundra is amazing and Blake says it’s shocking to see Sisaundra in this position.
Next up, Audra performs a fun and energetic version of “Done.”
Shakira says, “I think this is one of those moments you have nothing to lose. You left your heart on the stage. I saw an attitude that I’ve never seen before from you. You’re fierce I love your voice and energy.”
Blake says Audra did amazing and calls her a world class vocalist.
Kat Perkins once again shows her stellar rocker edge as she sings “Barracuda.”
Usher says, “This performance took me back to the beginning. That was amazing and I think you deserve to stay in this competition.”
Adam says Kat is one of the best rock singers on this show.
Delvin Choice gives a soulful performance of “Young Girls.” He really does an amazing job of showcasing his incredible vocal ability and undeniable conviction.
Shakira says that Delvin is one of her favorites. She states: “Your voice is just so rich. You are an amazing vocalist.”
Adam says that nobody sounds like Delvin and that he doesn’t deserve to be in the Bottom 4.
Ok now the time has come! The Contestant who is instantly saved tonight is… KAT PERKINS.
This means Sisaundra, Audra and Delvin are all eliminated tonight.
So, the Season 6 Top 5 includes Jake Worthington, Christina Grimmie, Kristen Merlin, Josh Kaufman and Kat Perkins.
