The Voice Top 12 Perform: Recap of Best Performances

Tonight on NBC’s Season 6 of The Voice, the Top 12 contestants perform live. Following tonight’s performances, America will vote for their favorites and two artists with the lowest amount of votes will go home no matter what team they are on.

While Team Usher, Team Blake, Team Shakira, and Team Adam all performed tonight, let’s recap some of the best performances of tonight’s live show.

Team Adam’s Delvin Choice performs “Unchained Melody” by The Righteous Brothers

Delvin Choice has proven to be one of the best R&B/soul singers to ever grace The Voice stage. Tonight he once again gave a brilliant performance of The Righteous Brothers’ “Unchained Melody.” He sang the song with such conviction as he embedded his signature vibrato. The runs and his falsetto moment showcased his incredible vocal control.

Blake says that Delvin did a great job and “sang the crap out of it.”

Usher commends Delvin for his amazing talent. He says, “A song like that is about conveying the pain and the sad emotion and you made it a little happier. I don’t know if that’s a good or bad thing but I do know that I enjoyed it.”

Shakira says, “ You did not disappoint. Your command of falsettos is perfect and superb. Your voice is also so silk and I just enjoyed it.”

Adam believes Delvin created the cathartic moment that is built in the song and says he is proud to be his coach.

Team Usher T.J. Wilkins “Waiting on The World To Change” by John Mayer

T.J. is a very unique contestant in the competition for his ability to sing R&B, yet add a splash of pop, rock, and jazz. His performance tonight perfectly showcased the clarity in his voice as he added his own special twist to the song. He did an excellent job of delivering the story within the song.

Shakira and Usher gave T.J. a standing ovation.

Shakira says, “I am your cheerleader. I am always rooting for you. You are so extraordinary. You are pure and so sincere. I adore your voice and I adore you as a performer.”

Blake says, “It’s hard to not pull for this even though you are not on my team. You have something that is infectious about you.”

Usher says, “This is the first time we get to see a different side of you. You’re a leader. This was a breakthrough moment for you. Great performance!”

Team Blake’s Sisaundra Lewis “Don’t Let The Sun Go Down On Me” by Elton John

There is no denying Sisaundra is clearly the powerhouse vocalist of the season. The notes she hits always blows our mind as she sings with so passion heart and passion.

Usher says, “I mean does it get any better than this. You blow everybody’s socks off. There is only one other voice like that and that is Patti Labelle. Your voice is amazing.”

Adam says, “That was great. The restraint you showed that was the most beautiful part of your performance. It was really controlled and seasoned and I really love it.”

Blake says that he hopes Sisaundra is enjoying the moment. He continues to say that people really do love her and she did a great job.”

Well, that does it for our recap!
