NBC’s Season 4 of The Voice has finally reached the final night of Blind Auditions! Can you believe it?! Next week will be the heated battle rounds!
But tonight, it was time for the coaches to fill the final remaining spot to complete their teams of 12! Boy, oh boy, the coaches definitely put their game faces on!
Blake Shelton was the first to complete his team with Jacqui Sandell. Sandell’s performance of Fletwood Mac’s “Dreams” had Shelton calling her voice “sneaky” and “sexy.”
Adam Levine snagged country singer Amber Carrington, who performed Carrie Underwood’s “Good Girl.”
Blake admitted his bitterness in not being able to add the country artist to his team, but hinted in his desire to hopefully steal her during battle rounds.
Shakira, battling out Usher in the process, ended up picking up soul singer Luke Edgemon. Edgemon gave what Shakira called a “phenomenal” performance of Bonnie Raitt’s “I Can’t Make You Love Me.”
However, it was Usher who snagged the strongest performer of the night. Enter 26-year old former PR employee Jessica Childress. Childress gave an absolutely breathe-taking performance of Bruno Mars’ “Marry You.”
The beauty of her performance was her outstanding vocal delivery. She showed the strength in both her piercingly high and tenderly low vocals. Oh yeah and we cannot fail to mention the raspy tone she seamlessly added to parts of the song.
Childress definitely has one of the strongest female voices in the competition. She was a perfect closer to the blind auditions and a great addition to Team Usher’s Team.
Well, there you have it folks! The Blind Auditions are over!
Who was your favorite performance of the night? Which coach do you think has the strongest team thus far? Leave your thoughts below!
