AMC has just published two new videos related to tonight’s The Walking Dead season 3 premiere.
AMC warns viewers of both videos that they contain spoilers.
The first video released is “Inside Episode 301 The Walking Dead: Seed.” In this video, Glen Mazzara, the executive producer of The Walking Dead, explains that in this episode the important take away is that the group has “come together and is a united group under Rick’s leadership.”
The video features comments from Mazzara and Andrew Lincoln, who plays Rick Grimes, along with others. Sarah Wayne Callies, who plays Lori Grimes, describes her pregnant character as a “ticking time bomb.”
The video does explain a bit more about the Michonne/Andria backstory – well, as much as the last 6 to 7 months is a back story. But at least there are more details here that we got from the actual episode.
The second video is about the making of The Walking Dead, season 3, episode 1.
The vid takes a brief look at the set, makeup and wardrobes involved in this particular episode.
And as this story was being written, AMC released a third video – a sneak peak at The Walking Dead, season 3, episode 2. It’s a teaser, of course, but shows the aftermath of Hershel’s hasty amputation. Quite gruesome, as is typical of this show, of course. No mention of the group’s new friends.
The videos are posted on AMC’s site.
What do you think about the start of the new season? Rick and Lori? Hershel? Will this season be as good as season 1 and 2? Leave your comments below.
