Update:  Service was fully restored as of 9 PM EST Monday night.

Time Warner Cable is reporting there are outages across all their services in NYC, with no word yet on when the issue will be resolved.

As of 3 P.M. EST, customers were reporting loss of Internet, channels showing a black screen, TV screens freezing and home phone service not working.

In a statement to Patch, Time Warner spokesman Eric Mangan addressed the issue, saying:

“Multiple fiber cuts at one of our network providers are affecting TWC phone and some TV services in the New York City area.”   He then went on to say that: “We are in continual contact with the provider on its repairs and we have restored additional TV networks through our own facilities. We sincerely apologize for any inconvenience this situation has caused our customers.”

Time Warner is currently working on the situation and hopes to have it resolved shortly, but in the meantime there are plenty of irate customers on Twitter and other social media sites, voicing their annoyance.
