Tour de France 2015: TV Time/Live Streaming Info, Stages, Favorites

The 102nd edition of cycling’s most prestigious event, the Tour de France, kicks off tomorrow (Saturday, July 4), running from the Netherlands to Paris.

The 3-week race will start in the Dutch city of Utrecht and end on the historical streets of the Champs-Elysees in Paris, the traditional final stage of the Tour.

The Tour features 198 riders and 22 teams that will compete over 21 stages for their share of a $2.6 million purse.

One interesting aspect of this year’s race is that for the 1st time in years there will be no long individual time trial on the schedule; specialists looking to leave their mark will have to do it during the team time trials.

TV Coverage: For those watching in the U.S. NBCSN will be providing TV coverage of the stages while those in the UK can watch on British Eurosport and ITV4.

Live Stream: Free live streaming is available in the U.S. through NBC’s Live Extra on their PC and by using the NBC Live Extra app for iOSAndroid and Windows devices.

Streaming is free but you must sign-in using a participating cable provider.

UK viewers can stream using the ITV Player app.

NBC Sports Tour de France Live app: Fans looking for more in-depth streaming in the U.S. can use this app created by NBC, in partnership with TourTracker.

The app is available for both PC and mobile devices and will feature live video of the stages, GPS tracking and up-to-date information as each cyclist finishes- plus other extras you won’t see using NBC Live Extra.

The Online App is $29.99 (one-day stage pass available for $4.99) and the Mobile App is $19.99.
